AIG Singapore Names Scott Spaven as New Head of Liabilities and Financial Lines for Singapore and Southeast Asia

SINGAPORE, November 7 2017 – AIG Asia Pacific Insurance Pte. Ltd. (AIG Singapore) today announced that Scott Spaven, who is currently Head of Client & Broker Engagement (CBE) for Singapore and Southeast Asia, is stepping in to take on the additional role of Head of Liabilities and Financial Lines (LFL) for Singapore and Southeast Asia with effect from 1 December 2017. Scott takes over from Roy Wilmoth II, who is moving on to a new role as the Head of Multinational Client Servicing, North America.

Scott’s new responsibilities will see him drive profitable growth across the LFL business, improve operational performance and create industry-focused client solutions. He will report to Claudia Salem, Chief Executive Officer of AIG Singapore and Head of Southeast Asia.

Scott began his career as a Property and Casualty underwriter in the UK, before moving into broking where he spent over 10 years focusing on the management of large and complex accounts, new business development as well as placement strategy and implementation. In 2011, Scott moved to Singapore with Willis Towers Watson to be the Head of Business Development and Placement, before he joined AIG in 2013.

Claudia Salem, Chief Executive Officer of AIG Singapore and Head of Southeast Asia, said, “I am pleased that Scott is taking on this expanded responsibility. His market relationships and extensive knowledge will help drive success for AIG in Singapore and across Southeast Asia."
