Once you have received your risk rating, please call AIG at 6419 3000 (Mondays to Fridays, except public holidays 9am to 5pm) or speak to your AIG Agent to apply the appropriate discount on your AIG Auto insurance policy. Please note that the authorization issued before 30 November 2019 will expire on 31 December 2019.

You must meet either of the following criteria:

  • You are an existing AIG vehicle insurance policyholder and your vehicle insurance policy is expiring not more than 90 days from the day you take the assessment
  • You are not an AIG customer but are interested in purchasing AIG’s vehicle insurance.

You will enjoy additional 10% discount on top of the existing 5% discount to make it a total of 15% SDD.

Unfortunately, you will not be able to enjoy the 15% SDD during your current policy period. If your policy is due for renewal in the next 90 days, please take the Online Driver Risk Assessment and if you achieve a “low risk” rating score, you will be eligible for up to 15% SDD on your next renewal.

If you attain a “medium risk” or “high risk” rating score, but you have at least 30% NCD and have been claims-free for the past year for your current vehicle insurance, you will still be eligible for a 5% SDD.

If you attain a “low risk” rating score, you will be eligible for up to 15% SDD.

The same AAS Online Driver Risk Assessment discount can be extended to two or more cars that are registered under the same customer.

If you already have 5% SDD and you attain “low risk” rating score for the assessment, you will be entitled to an additional 10% which adds up to a total of 15%

You may contact our customer service representatives, Monday to Friday, between 9 am and 5 pm at 6419 3000, or reach out to your agent to redeem your discount.

When you take the Online Driver Risk Assessment, the results of the assessment will be valid for:

  • Not an AIG customer but are interested in purchasing AIG’s vehicle insurance
    - Valid for one year from the date which the assessment is taken on.
  • Existing AIG vehicle insurance policyholders
    - Valid for three years from the date which the assessment is taken on. This means that if you renew your vehicle insurance policy with us, you will continue to enjoy the same SDD for three years, without needing to retake the Online Driver Risk Assessment.

      Examples:

  • If you take the Online Driver Risk Assessment in January 2018, the result of the assessment is still valid for the renewal of your AIG vehicle insurance policy in December 2018, and again in December 2019.

Online Driver Risk Assessment

AAS Academy’s Online Driver Risk Assessment is a holistic training system whereby it assesses the risk level of the driver.  It helps organisations and fleet managers to identify at risk drivers while driving at work and recommends appropriate training modules to address the areas of concern.

The Online Driver Risk Assessment is suitable for drivers with a valid driver’s licence who would like to attain the SDD.

The driver risk assessment consists of a series of multiple choice questions covering four critical competencies:

  • Attitude
  • Knowledge
  • Concentration and Observation
  • Hazard Perception

There are a total of 12 questions per section. On completion of the assessment, the driver will rated as high, medium or low risk.

It takes approximately 20 to 25 minutes to complete the Online Driver Risk Assessment.

Yes, after each question the driver is told whether they answered correctly, and given the correct answer and full explanation.

You will be able to download the results and an e-certificate immediately after you have completed the Online Driver Risk Assessment.
