AAS Academy, a wholly owned subsidiary of Automobile Association of Singapore, is offering an Online Driver Risk Assessment to AIG customers, as part of a collective effort to promote safer driving in Singapore.
The Online Driver Risk Assessment is a skills and knowledge system which adopts the tried and trusted approach of assessing drivers’ “in-vehicle” attitude through an online process. Apart from identifying drivers’ risk levels, the assessment also provides relevant information and helpful explanations after each question, allowing drivers to better understand and adopt good road safety habits.
The Online Driver Risk Assessment will also help individuals identify their level of driving risk and understand measures they can take to protect themselves and other road users. Drivers are assessed based on four critical competencies – attitude, knowledge, concentration and observation, and hazard perception. They will then be rated as high, medium or low risk according to their responses.
Drivers who achieve a “low risk” rating score will be rewarded with up to 15% safe driver discount (SDD) for their AIG vehicle insurance premiums!
Drivers who achieve a “low risk” rating score - regardless of whether they are new or existing customers with AIG - will be rewarded with up to 15% SDD off their AIG vehicle insurance!
If you attain a “medium risk” or “high risk” rating score but you have at least 30% No Claim Discount (NCD) for your current vehicle insurance, you are still eligible for a 5% SDD.
The AA Membership offers drivers a wide array of motoring and lifestyle privileges!

AAS Academy’s Online Driver Risk Assessment is a holistic training system whereby it assesses the risk level of the driver. It helps organisations and fleet managers to identify at risk drivers while driving at work and recommends appropriate training modules to address the areas of concern.
The Online Driver Risk Assessment is suitable for drivers with a valid driver’s licence who would like to attain the SDD.
The driver risk assessment consists of a series of multiple choice questions covering four critical competencies:
There are a total of 12 questions per section. On completion of the assessment, the driver will rated as high, medium or low risk.
It takes approximately 20 to 25 minutes to complete the Online Driver Risk Assessment.
Yes, after each question the driver is told whether they answered correctly, and given the correct answer and full explanation.
