Auto Claims - FAQs
Regardless of who is at fault, when a third party is involved, it is important to get all the relevant contact information. This will include, but is not limited to, the driver's name, telephone number(s), email, address, car licence plate number, and insurance information.
You may call our 24-hour Auto Assist hotline at 6338 6200 to have your vehicle towed, but it is important that you do not authorise repairs until we have had an opportunity to determine the extent of the damage to your vehicle. AIG authorised workshops are used in the auto claims process to ensure quality repairs are carried out at the best value.

*AIG Authorised Workshops offering Policy Lifetime Repair Guarantee
The AIG authorised workshop will prepare an estimate of the repair costs after assessing the damages to your vehicle. If necessary, an adjuster will be appointed to inspect your vehicle and submit the Adjuster Report to us before the cost of repairs and claim are finalised.
If the extent of damage to your vehicle results in a total loss, your AIG claims examiner will contact you and take you through the next steps to resolve your claim. This includes you providing the title documentation that verifies you as the owner of the vehicle. If you are not able to provide the title documentation, it will delay your claim process, including payment.
We will contact the AIG authorised workshop to arrange for the repair of your vehicle, as long as the accident damages are covered under your vehicle insurance policy. You will be notified by the AIG authorised workshop once the repairs are completed.
Please request for the other driver's claim number and the name of the person handling his claim. If an adjuster has been appointed by the other driver’s insurance company, please request for the name of the adjuster as well. Do not discuss liability with the other driver’s insurance company. Instead, please contact your AIG claims examiner who will handle deal with the other driver’s insurance company directly.
AIG will issue payment directly to the workshop that completed the repairs.
