Travel Guard® Notice

Important information about purchasing Travel Guard and Travel Guard Direct policies directly from AIG or our digital partners

AIG’s global personal travel insurance and assistance business, including Travel Guard® is now part of Zurich Insurance Group.

As part of this transition, AIG Singapore will cease the distribution of travel insurance via its Direct Channels effective 27 January 2026. AIG Singapore continues to distribute travel insurance through other channels, including through our agents.  

Existing AIG Travel policyholders will continue to be covered and serviced in accordance with their current policy terms and conditions.

Existing Policy Coverage

Your existing AIG Travel Guard and AIG Travel Guard Direct policy remains valid until the expiry date stated in your Policy Schedule. All benefits, coverage and services stated in your Policy Schedule and Policy Wording remains unchanged.

Your existing AIG Travel Guard and AIG Travel Guard Direct policy remains with AIG and is valid until the expiry date as stated in your Policy Schedule. You may continue to contact the AIG Customer Care team, or your AIG insurance agent, for any matters regarding your existing AIG Travel Guard and AIG Travel Guard Direct policy.

We can assist you with the change before your trip starts, subject to your policy’s terms and conditions. You may submit the change request here.

You may submit a request for us to resend the Policy documents to you. Start by filling up this form here.

Any refunds, if applicable, will follow the cancellation terms stated in your policy wording.

Emergency Assistance

If you have an existing AIG Travel Guard and AIG Travel Guard Direct policy, you may continue to contact the AIG Travel Asia Pacific 24-Hour Emergency Assistance hotline at +65 6733 2552 for assistance during your trip.

Claims

AIG will continue to manage any claims submitted for an existing AIG Travel Guard and AIG Travel Guard Direct policy.

You may refer to your Policy Schedule and Policy Wording for the relevant coverages under Trip Postponement or Trip Cancelation.

Our claims process remains unchanged. You may submit your claims here. As a reminder, you must notify us within 30 days after the occurrence of any event which may give rise to a claim.

Renewal

If you had purchased your existing AIG Travel Guard policy from your AIG insurance agent, please contact them for more information about policy renewal.

For other existing AIG Travel Guard and AIG Travel Guard Direct policies, the following scenarios will apply:

  • If your policy is expiring on or before 29 April 2026, you will be able to renew your policy with AIG. Please refer to the policy renewal invitation which will be sent to you via email or mail prior to the expiry of your existing policy.

  • If your policy is expiring on or after 30 April 2026, you will not be able to renew your policy with AIG. Please refer to the communication from AIG which will be sent to you via email or mail prior to the expiry of your existing policy.

Purchasing a New Policy

As part of this transition, you may no longer purchase AIG Travel Guard and AIG Travel Guard Direct policies directly from AIG or our digital partners effective 27 January 2026. AIG Singapore continues to distribute travel insurance through other channels, including through our agents.

You may continue to purchase travel insurance from AIG through your AIG insurance agent.
