As your wealth grows, you may find that your home and valuables require more protection than the off-the-shelf insurance protection that is typically available in the market.

At AIG, we have a team of PCS specialists to support your home insurance needs by tailoring coverages for your fine homes and the valuables you own, such as jewellery, watches, handbags, art and wine collections.

Coverage highlights

You will be covered for your main residence, including all the additions and alterations and other permanent structures like guest houses, pool houses, sheds, swimming pools, detached garages, hardscape such as driveways, fountains, underground irrigation systems, decorative pools, terraces, patios, retaining walls, walkways, fencing, gates, and unattached decks at the residence.

You will be covered for damage to your interior additions and alterations which are generally not covered by a condominium association’s policy.

We recognise that home contents is more than just your furniture and home appliances, but also includes your belongings such as clothing and jewellery that you may bring along with you on overseas trips.

Your home contents and belongings will be covered anywhere in the world with our comprehensive worldwide coverage, so you don’t have to worry when you are away from your home or on an overseas trip.

We will reimburse you up to S$5,000 for food spoilage due to interruption of power or mechanical breakdown of your refrigeration units.

Following a covered loss, we will provide up to S$2,000 for you to install an approved loss prevention device to protect against similar losses from recurring.

If a covered loss makes your residence uninhabitable, we will cover any reasonable costs incurred by you for alternate accommodation, so that your standard of living isn’t compromised. This also includes reasonable costs incurred to board your pets.

If you are unable to rent out your residence following a covered loss, we will pay the rent you would have received for the reasonable amount of time necessary to restore your residence back to habitable conditions.

Your guests are protected when entertained at your home and so are the private staff whom you employ.

You have the flexibility to choose whether to repair, replace or surrender the undamaged item (from a pair, set or unit) and take a cash settlement option.

Forcible entry can damage the door and flooring. You will be covered for the expenses to repair them which can be costly.

We will cover up to S$2,500 to replace the locks and keys and card keys lost, damaged or stolen at your residence, as well as any electronic locking device in your car.

We cover loss or damage due to fire, theft or breakage of covered valuable items, anywhere in the world, with no deductibles.

Scheduled Valuable Article: Insure each of your valuables for its actual value. In the event of a total loss, we will pay the agreed sum insured.

Unscheduled Valuable Article: Hassle free. Insure your valuable articles on an unscheduled basis with a per article limit basis. In the event of a covered loss, we will pay the replacement cost of each item up to the per article limit.

Coverage for Loss in Market Value: In the event of a partial loss, we will pay you the full restoration or repair cost. Should the value diminish after the repair or restoration, we will pay the difference up to 25% of the schedule sum insured. This coverage is typically not provided in most standard home insurance policies, which may leave you under-protected.

We cover your legal obligations towards a third party for any personal injury or property damages anywhere in the world.

We will cover you up to the personal liability limit which you are legally liable to pay as the owner of the residence as a result of:

  • bodily injury to or death of the tenant or any third party within the residence
  • loss or damage to the tenant or third party’s property within the residence

We will cover you for damages which you are legally liable to pay to your landlord as a result of loss or damage to the building, additions and alterations or contents belonging to the landlord during your tenancy period.

This policy is protected under the Policy Owners’ Protection Scheme which is administered by the Singapore Deposit Insurance Corporation (SDIC). Coverage for your policy is automatic and no further action is required from you.
